Microvascular complications include diabetes related complications of the eyes, kidneys, nerves and feet.
   
  Peripheral Neuropathy is also known as nerve damage of the feet.
   
  When the sensation of pain is lost due to peripheral neuropathy, people are at greater risk of foot ulcers, injuries and subsequent amputation.
   
  Community sharps which include needs, syringes, pen needles and lancets must be disposed of in an approved sharps container.
   
  Health related problems more common in people with diabetes include dental problems, immune system problems such as coeliac disease and thyroid problems.
