Don't miss your chance to join a healthy shopping tour at supermarkets across NSW!
Run by dietitians, the tours aim to teach people how to read food labels, make sense of nutrient claims and how to make selecting healthy foods easier.
"The tours are interactive and will benefit people who want to reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes or other chronic lifestyle diseases and assist those who have been diagnosed with diabetes," says Clair Stevens, Dietitian, Diabetes Australia-NSW.
"Attending a shopping tour was so useful," said Christine Watson of Castle Hill who attended a tour in her area. "I learnt to make the right choices when food shopping in a cheap and effective way."
The usual grocery shopping nightmare can be turned into a fun way of learning about healthy eating for just $8 for Diabetes Australia-NSW members or $10 for non-members.
All tours are conducted at Woolworths Supermarkets, except the Campbelltown and Ulladulla tours which are at Coles, and the Crookwell tour which is at IGA.
Limited bookings available for each tour. Bookings close a week prior to each tour.
