A number of businesses have joined the inaugural Finish Friday @ 4, the Diabetes Australia-NSW fundraiser to be held this Friday, 30 November.
Fibre Ogilvy, a division of Ogilvy Healthworld, will let its staff leave early on Friday, because “we understand the challenges of people who live with diabetes everyday,” says Managing Director, Mark Bailey.
Toll Priority and Lexus of Chatswood have also taken up the offer to help the charity.
“We are very excited about this initiative to raise funds through ‘Finish Friday @ 4’. We have encouraged our staff to get on board and support this cause,” said Michael Farrell, State Sales Manager for Toll Priority.
“We look at the initiative as a way to increase our team’s awareness of this growing epidemic and to build something healthy for people to do,” said Simon McCarroll, Dealer Principal at Lexus of Chatswood.
“By Finishing Friday at 4, the team members have chosen to support diabetes, by not only helping a great cause but in our case, taking the afternoon off to play sport.”
All three companies have also challenged other corporates to follow their example.
Whether you have five or 500 employees, show your staff you care and that you’re a great boss! Get involved and join fellow Australians choosing to stop work an hour early, for the good of a great cause.
Diabetes Australia-NSW has chosen Friday 30 November to launch the event, but people can select any other day to leave work early (with the boss’s approval, of course) and support the cause.
Everything you need to know, from how to get involved to registering, is on the ‘Finish Friday @ 4 website’, www.finishfridayatfour.com.au or call 1300 136 588.
